At Boronia we work hard to mirror the responsibilities faced by women in everyday life and this philosophy supports strong family connections. The restoration, maintenance and support of family relationships is considered essential to the well-being of the women in our care including our grandparents. The importance of these family relationships is supported and encouraged for the benefit of the residents, their families, and the wider community.

The activities delivered through our parenting program provide our resident grandmothers a rare opportunity to share some special time with their grandchildren within a prison environment. The delivery of engaging child type activities and programs support Boronia’s philosophy around the importance of family relationships.

The July school holiday program ensured the resident grandmothers could spend some quality time with their grandchildren, at an event that was full of fun and enjoyment, offering numerous benefits for both the grandmother and her grandchildren. The party was a particular success and gave the women an opportunity to participate in some “normal” activities with their grandchildren, despite being in a prison environment. The jungle safari allowed the women and their grandchildren to strengthen emotional bonds, foster positive communication, boost self-esteem, and promote positive behaviours.

The entertainers really did an amazing job engaging the children in the various games and activities.

Emily was absolutely amazing! She was calm, kind and organised and the girls were fully engaged throughout the entire 2 hours.
Once the girls were done with the pampering, Emily happily ran some games keeping the girls happy and entertained.
I can not recommend Emily enough.
Emily ran everything so smoothly, I was able to relax and chat with other parents and enjoy watching the girls having fun.

Amazing entertainment by Elsa. The kids had a great time! My daughter loved all of the games included and the snow machine was a hit too. The children were all mesmerised at all times and parents could just catch up whilst the little ones had fun together.

Such an incredible experience for my daughter and all her friends 💕 very much worth the money and made the day a dream took so much pressure off me to entertain a group of young girls, performer was outstanding. Company was so easy and communication is amazing 😍

Thank you to the whole team at ‘Parties Kids Remember’ for making our daughter’s 5th Mermaid Party seamless. This was our first time using an entertainer and we used due to having a Winter birthday, we wanted to have at our house. From the moment of booking, the process was smooth and easy and we received plenty of follow up emails confirming dates/numbers. The day of the party our Ariel entertainer arrived earlier, looked magical and had all the kids entranced with games, music and glitter face painting. Thank you for this wonderful service which made a busy day so much easier and day our daughter will remember.

Spiderman was amazing ! We had a joint superhero party for my 2 & 4 year old. All the kids enjoyed the games and laughed at his jokes. He created such a great atmosphere and even the adults enjoyed watching. My eldest son took time to warm up to him, but Spiderman was so relaxed and friendly it didn’t take long for him to become obsessed with Spiderman. He made both the birthday boys feel so special and my 4 year old keeps asking if he can call Spiderman to come back ! Thank you parties kids remember.

Absolutely amazing!! We loved our mermaid face painter. She was prompt, super organised, looked fabulous, great with the kids and, most importantly, very talented at her craft! Lots of our guests commented on how impressed they were. Thank you so much!

We had Tiara at my daughter’s 7th ballet birthday on Sunday – she was very engaging and kept the children entertained for the full 1.5 hours. She was punctual and organised. All the children loved the party and said the party was “wow.” Would definitely use her again!
